Individual Tutoring

The Supervised Homework and Individual Tutoring programs at Martocchio Music have been
designed to augment music education with more comprehensive educational services. Now more than
ever, given the advances in technology and current economic situation, providing your children with
the tools and skills to further advance their academic endeavors is of the utmost importance. We
stand ready to help you and have created an economically feasible alternative to supplement the half
hour music lessons and provide the family with a few evenings free from the stresses of homework.  
Your child can enroll in one half or one hour homework help sessions in a small group setting, or if
you prefer, individual tutoring. Either option will provide support and guidance for your children as
they work to achieve academic goals and enjoy the learning experience. Whether your child is
struggling with one or more subjects, has trouble with test taking, or would benefit from organizational
and study skills, we will tailor a program to fit that need.


Homework/Individual Tutoring Objectives

  • Provide time, space, assistance, and coaching to students as they complete homework
    assignments
  • Determine goals based on individual student talents
  • Design and help with time management, organizational, and study skills
  • Reinforce and build upon core subject skills learned in the classroom
  • Enhance writing skills
  • Assist with test preparation
  • Instill in the student a feeling for the joy of learning as opposed to just preparing for periodic
    tests

The college search and admission process can be a daunting experience for all parties:  students and
parents alike. However, with my background in education and my knowledge and expertise, I can
make the process clear and enjoyable, while supporting students and their families with this milestone
experience. We will all work together for the best outcome possible for each student and family, and I
will provide the necessary facts and information.

I have always loved working with young people. As a guidance counselor, I continually appreciate the
opportunity to watch students mature and grow and become poised and ready for college. It is an
exciting time.   During the college search, students become more self-aware, self-confident, and they
will discover what hopes and dreams might unfold for them in their college experience. I love working
with the parents as well. At each step of the process, I provide the necessary facts and information to
parents who naturally have questions and concerns.  Truly, the goal of this process is college success,
finding the right fit for each student to grow and discover what will make him/her happy and
productive in life. I take great satisfaction in helping this happen.

In this ever changing environment, it helps to have a professional with up to date information to help
students navigate their academic futures. It is my passion to work with students and their families
especially with the college search and admission process.

Linda Hart Educational Consultant serves to provide personalized, knowledgeable, cost-effective
guidance to families as they navigate the college search and complete the college application process.
Given our current economy, parents are looking for alternatives for their college age children. They
need answers to questions concerning programs available and colleges and universities best suited to
the needs of their children. Seeking the services of an independent educational consultant can be the
wisest investment a family can make, giving families objective advice, access to reliable information,
and the kind of individual attention necessary to make an informed decision.

Linda Hart has been involved in education for over twenty years, having been a Junior/ Senior High
School teacher, Writing Coach, and for the last fourteen years, has dedicated herself to Guidance
Counseling. She has aided hundreds of students and families in finding the path to higher education
that best suits them.  Linda Hart will empower the student and support the family, simplifying the
complex college admission process and helping to make it an enjoyable endeavor. The common goal
is to find the best college environment, the best fit, for each individual student and launch each student
on his/her college career.
