ROCK OUT THE SUMMER of 2008!!!!!!!! Martocchio Music Rock & Blues Camp is an exciting program of instrumental study and group performance. We offer the opportunity for musicians to improve their playing skills while performing in rock bands this summer. Students will participate in rock playing, song writing and improvisation. We will also cover such topics as music theory, ear/vocal training and rhythm. Guest Faculty will include internationally renowned musicians. Students will be featured in an end of session concert showcasing all of their hard work. Camp is open to students entering 7th grade on up with at least 2 years playing experience. | More Summer Fun!!! Classical Ensemble We at Martocchio Music want to make learning music a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience. Martocchio Music Classical Ensemble, directed by Alex Gurin, is an exciting groupprogram of instrumental study and performance in classical and contemporary music. We offer the opportunity for music students to improve their musical skills through group rehearsals, listening and theory discussions. Our musical repertoire is varied and exciting. All instruments welcomed-Woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion. These are Saturday rehearsals from 9AM – 11AM with a concert scheduled the final Saturday of the program. This ensemble is for students of all ages with at least 3 years playing experience. Chromatic scale knowledge is a must. Placement is by experience. Students sign up for 6 sessions out of 8 available dates. Any additional session will be pro-rated. During this time we will also be offering a beginners/1st year music class. Please inquire.
